Refreshed Experience: Heelpy Redesign Journey
We embarked on a journey of transformation, redesigning Heelpy to deliver an exceptional security experience. Each screen has been rethought, keeping the focus on simplicity and effectiveness. The goal was clear: to empower users, especially women who face daily challenges, with an intuitive design that ensures hassle-free security. Now, with full control of information and the ability to choose who is notified, Heelpy not only stands out visually, but becomes a vital tool for facing the world with confidence.
As a Product Designer, my focus on this project was to create an experience that combined simplicity, functionality, and fluidity. From the beginning, I aimed to ensure the app was intuitive, accessible, and capable of delivering a meaningful and enjoyable user experience. The interface redesign was guided by a user-centered approach, optimizing navigation to ensure tasks could be completed with minimal cognitive effort. Additionally, I improved the information hierarchy, ensuring that the most important content could be easily identified and accessed.
To enhance clarity, I applied UX Writing methodologies, making messages and instructions straightforward and easy to understand while maintaining a warm and empathetic tone. On the visual side, I worked to balance aesthetics and functionality by using a light color palette and consistent typography to create a modern and pleasant visual identity.
One of the main challenges was designing microinteractions that reinforced the user's sense of control and safety, providing immediate feedback during critical moments, such as triggering emergency alerts. The experience was also tested to ensure accessibility, including contrast modes and typography adjustments, promoting inclusion and usability for a diverse range of users.
Designing for Safety
From Idea to Experience: Heelpy and User-Centered Design
Heelpy was designed through a robust design thinking process, centered on empathy and collaboration. The initial idea was enriched by collaborative brainstorming sessions, iterative prototyping and constant usability testing. Integrating diverse methodologies, from user journey analysis to empathy mapping, we delve deep into users' experiences, ensuring not just functionality, but meaning. The result is a transformed Heelpy, not just as an app, but as a tangible expression of a commitment to enhanced personal safety, providing a connected and effective experience.
How were Heelply's interfaces?
The application interfaces had an old-fashioned and unrefined look. Excessive use of the brand's primary color—a dark, saturated pink—contributed to visually cluttered screens. This, combined with inadequate spacing, poor use of icons and ineffective choice of interaction components, resulted in a sloppy and unprofessional appearance.
Due to a business decision, only one redesign of the screens was carried out, focusing on aesthetic improvements. Although there wasn't much freedom to optimize the application's flows and rules, we were still able to significantly improve usability through redesigning the interfaces.
The new design adopts a cleaner and more sophisticated aesthetic, incorporating the brand's values into the user experience. Navigation has been redesigned to be clearer and more intuitive, making it easier to use even for first-time users.
Their goal is to help people, they are placed as a focus, as well as the needs of society as a whole. It is an extremely affordable and democratic brand, anyone can use the product and make their lives easier with it. The aplicativo aims to help people who are going through changes, making this process much safer, faster and more practical. But also to bring users who do freight a new way of working, an innovative way that will help publicize their services and treat them with more autonomy and profit.

The Power of Design: Crafting an Inclusive and Efficient Experience
What problem are we going to solve?
One of the most significant challenges faced by individuals seeking freight services is the difficulty in finding reliable and qualified professionals. The process often involves lengthy searches, with limited access to critical information that would enable users to make informed decisions. In contrast, many analogous services in other industries provide easy access to such information, highlighting a gap in the market for an efficient freight service platform.
The success of the app hinges on a design philosophy centered around user empowerment. By placing users at the heart of the design process, we ensured that both drivers and customers feel supported and valued. This was achieved through a series of design decisions:
Intuitive Interface: The application features a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, even for users who may not be tech-savvy. The design focuses on simplicity, reducing the learning curve and making the application accessible to a broader audience.
Personalized Experience: Drivers can customize their profiles to highlight their strengths, set their availability, and select the types of freight jobs they prefer. Customers, in turn, can filter search results to find the best match for their specific needs.
Transparency and Trust: To build trust between drivers and customers, the application includes a robust review and rating system. This transparency encourages high-quality service and helps users make informed decisions based on the experiences of others.
Streamlined Communication: The platform facilitates direct communication between drivers and customers, allowing them to discuss details, clarify expectations, and negotiate terms without any intermediaries. This feature enhances mutual understanding and ensures that both parties are satisfied with the arrangement.
Designing for User Empowerment
Transforming the Freight Service Experience
The Frete Fácil application represents a significant step forward in the freight service industry, offering a solution that is both innovative and inclusive. By focusing on the needs of both drivers and customers, we have created a platform that not only solves existing problems but also opens up new possibilities for how freight services are delivered and experienced. The design of the application reflects our commitment to making the process safer, faster, and more practical for everyone involved, ultimately making life easier for those undergoing changes and those providing the essential services they need.
How are we going to solve it?
To address this gap, the application provides a dual solution. On one side, we empower drivers by offering them a dedicated space to showcase their services, enabling them to choose freight jobs that align with their skills, availability, and preferences. This autonomy not only enhances their work experience but also increases their potential earnings. On the other side, we simplify the customer’s journey by offering a platform that allows them to quickly and easily find the freight service that best suits their needs. This includes features such as efficient search tools, direct communication channels, and the ability to propose prices, all designed to make the process as seamless as possible.
Precavi is more than just a tool for securing online accounts—it is a solution that bridges the gap between advanced security measures and everyday usability. By focusing on the user experience, we ensure that even complex security practices feel accessible and manageable for users of all technical backgrounds. As UI/UX Designers, we played a pivotal role in ensuring that the app’s functionality is not only secure but also intuitive, promoting widespread adoption and ultimately contributing to a safer online environment for everyone.
authentication app - 2024
What problem are we going to solve?
In a world where online security threats are constantly evolving, users face significant challenges in protecting their accounts and personal information. Traditional password-based security methods have proven to be vulnerable, leading to an increase in data breaches and unauthorized access. There is a growing need for an additional layer of security—one that is both robust and user-friendly.
Our goal is to create an authentication experience that prioritizes both security and ease of use. Security applications often suffer from a steep learning curve, making it difficult for users to adopt and trust them. Our design approach focuses on removing these barriers, ensuring that users of all technical levels can easily integrate our app into their daily routines.
Designing for Security and Usability
Highlights of the design
Simplicity in Design: Security doesn’t need to be complicated. We focused on a minimalistic and intuitive design that guides users through the process of setting up and managing their authentication codes with ease. The user interface is clean, avoiding unnecessary complexity, and making sure that the core functionality is always accessible.
Accessibility: Our design prioritizes accessibility, ensuring that users with different needs can easily use the app. This includes optimized contrast ratios, larger touch targets for easier interaction, and voice-over compatibility for visually impaired users.
Material Design for Fast Development: We used Google's Material Design throughout the app to accelerate coding and ensure design consistency. By leveraging pre-designed components, we reduced the time spent on UI development, enabling a faster path to market.
How are we going to solve it?
To address this challenge, we are introducing an authentication application that adds a second layer of protection for users' accounts. By generating time-based, one-time passcodes (TOTPs), our application provides a simple yet highly effective way for users to secure their online presence. The app mirrors the functionality of popular tools like Google Authenticator, offering a familiar experience while enhancing usability and accessibility.
Agile Methodologies: Using agile product development, we broke the project into sprints, focusing on quick iterations and delivering an MVP. This approach allowed us to launch the app rapidly and begin collecting user metrics and feedback.
Data-Driven Refinement: Early app release enabled us to gather critical data and insights. With each sprint, we used this data to prioritize improvements and optimize the user experience in a continuous loop of iteration and enhancement
